Dear Friends,

As we shared in the latest newsletter, Rev. Celie Katovich, who has just begun as our part time Minister for Congregational Care, will be with us for the first time in worship this Sunday, leading the Prayers. Our texts are Matthew 5:1-9 and Ephesians 3:14-21. The Chancel Choir will sing favorite anthems, including one with Samantha Rodriguez as soloist. Refreshments will include treats from Cheesy Eddies following worship in the Hallock Lounge.

The sermon will be on the shorter side, so that folks who are attending the Water for South Sudan Brunch honoring Carol Snook can easily attend worship and arrive at 12:30 at Artisan Works, when the event officially starts.

At the 9:50am in the Shaw Room, Peter Oddleifson will present "Acting Boldly for Justice: DPC's Work for Equal Rights from a Historical Perspective."

Meditation will begin in the Church Library at 10:10. All are welcome! No experience needed, and it is fine to come in and join the circle late.

With you in the Spirit's strength and inspiration,

The Rev. Dr. Pat Youngdahl, Pastor
Downtown Presbyterian Church
Rochester, New York
